Jelly Drops were designed by our founder Lewis Hornby after his grandma Pat was unexpectedly rushed to hospital with severe dehydration. Pat, who has dementia, had become completely unresponsive - her family told to expect the worst. Thankfully, after 24 hours on IV fluids Pat made a full recovery, but Lewis was shocked that something so simple could have such a huge impact on her health.

Whilst still a university student, Lewis decided to focus his graduation project on finding a solution, and began by spending a month his grandmother’s care home. After months of development he created Jelly Drops - fun and engaging water sweets that can be enjoyed by everyone!

We are humbled by the public recognition Jelly Drops has received. In the short space of two years, we have received over 15 awards within design, innovation and social impact. As a young company, these competitions have brought connections, resources and training that have been vital in making Jelly Drops a reality.

We are also very proud of our partnerships. As part of the Alzheimer’s Society’s Innovation Accelerator, 1% of profits from every box sold goes back to the Alzheimer’s Society!
